ALLISON CROWE: ROCK JAZZ FOLK SOUL SINGER-SONGWRITER
Einfach und einfach großartig. Die kanadische Musikerin Allison Crowe hatte bereits in der Vergangenheit einen Plattenvertrag mit einem Majorlabel abgelehnt, weil dieser mit zu vielen Kompromissen verbunden war. So veröffentlicht sie ihre Werke lieber unter dem eigenen Label und verbringt den Großteil des Jahres mit Touren. Nun bringt sie ihre fesselnde Show nach Aachen. Ein Piano, ein bischen Gitarre – das ist alles, was nötig ist. Im Vordergrund steht Allison Crowe’s Stimme, mal kraftvoll, mal zerbrechlich. „Der kanadische Engel Alison Crowe sorgte für einen der magischsten Momente des Wochenendes,“ berichtet die Zeitung The Scotsman über ihren Auftritt beim John Lennon Northern Lights Festival in Schottland, wo sie Aufsehen erregte. Mike Merritt, Direktor des Festivals, beschrieb Crowe als „awesome“ und „spine-tingling“ und fügte außerdem hinzu, „She put hairs on the back of your neck! She brought the house down.“
Allison Crowe hat bisher fünf CD-Alben veröffentlicht, die von Kritikern und Fans gleichermaßen gelobt worden sind. Ihre Lieder und Online-Videos haben ihr eine Fangemeinde von mehreren Millionen gebracht. Durch Auftritte bei Festivals in Kanada und Europa erwartet man von ihr aufregende Liveshows, wo sich Originallieder mit beliebten Interpretationen zu einer organischen Verschmelzung aus Rock, Jazz, Volksmusik, Broadway, Gospel und Soul vermischen. Sie hat einen freudvollen Klang, der von einem Musikjournalisten als „Elton John trifft auf Edith Piaf“ beschrieben wurde. In Aachen tritt sie zuammen mit mit Leontine Snoeren auf.
Born into a musical family, Leontine Snoeren learned to play various instruments at a young age. As she turns fifteen, Leontine starts writing songs of her own and eventually grows up to live for music. Now 24-years-old, the singer/songwriter from the Netherlands tells her storiesthrough her music with true passion.
